The series will follow the show's actual writers and producers on a
search for a real-life family to star as themselves in a sitcom based
on their own lives. The process will include a nationwide casting call
for tape submissions from families, visits to candidates' hometowns by
writers and producers who will narrow the competition to nine families
and the elimination of more families until the final two are flown to
Los Angeles for screen tests. The 13-episode order culminates with the
scripted series "pilot," complete with actors playing the parts of the
co-workers and friends.#

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
(the "Producer") is the producer of a potential television series featuring real American families, currently entitled "My Life is a Sitcom" (the "Series"). Producer seeks submission from your family of a three to five minute video depicting your family and demonstrating why your family should be the subject of a sitcom. From the videos submitted, the Producer intends to select several families to participate in promotion and/or production of the Series and possibly be flown to Los Angeles for a screen test. As the Series progresses, the families will be narrowed down to one family, which is expected to be featured on one or more episodes.
